Spectrum Valuations & Asset Solutions prides itself on the quality of its valuation team.

All Spectrum valuers are registered with the South African Council for The Property Valuers Profession (SACPVP), a statutory body established in terms of the Property Valuers Profession Act, 2000 (Act No. 23 of 2000). Spectrum uses both professional valuers and candidate valuers (valuers in training), and ensures that candidate valuers work at all times under the supervision of a professional, subject to the approval of the Council. The Spectrum valuation team consists from a no. of professional and candidate valuers across the country able to deliver world class service which all our clients deserve.

Valuer’s Qualifications


Spectrum personnel are required to have the professional qualifications laid down by the South African Council for The Property Valuers Profession (SACPVP).

Spectrum Professional Valuers have successfully completed the National Diploma in Real Estate (Property Valuation) or one of several recognised university degrees, together with a minimum of five years’ practical experience.

Spectrum Professional Associated Valuers have successfully completed the National Diploma in Real Estate (Property Valuation) or one of several recognised university degrees, together with a minimum of three years’ practical experience.

Spectrum Candidate Valuers work under a professional supervisor as part of their practical training. All valuations done by our candidate valuers are checked and countersigned by a Professional Valuer or Professional Associated Valuer.

Training


Spectrum Valuations & Asset Solutions participates in the continuing professional education offered by the South African Institute of Valuers (SAIV). Spectrum personnel attend SAIV specialist seminars and workshops to keep abreast of national and international market trends and innovations. The academic and professional standards of members are consequently maintained at a high level. Spectrum has developed a Commercial Candidate Valuers training programme in order to accelerate training and development. The programme comprises of both formal and informal training, as well as on-the-job training. The main objectives of the training programme are:

  • To place Candidate Valuers on a contractual programme in line with the South African Council for Property Valuers Profession and tertiary institutions.
  • To use the programme and process to uplift skills and personal development.
  • To improve on client service with a performance-driven professional team.

These training programmes are offered to the market/industry as a whole.

All reports are signed by suitable qualified and registered valuers and the contents thereof conform to the standards prescribed by the South African Council for Property Valuers Profession (SACPVP).
